Ministry of Prayer
The first goal of the Ministry of Prayer at Westminster is to help each of us to grow in a bond of belonging to our Lord where we experience a freedom to come to Him for all of life in trustful reliance upon Him through the gift of prayer and enjoy a mutual delight through intimate fellowship and communion with Him. A look at Jesus’ life reflects a Praying Life as He would often draw apart to be alone with the Father, the Person He loves. So too may we.
Our second goal in the Work of Prayer flows out of the first. As we more and more individually live a Praying Life, it is our hope to see us collectively grow more and more to be a church which does Ministry through prayer - where prayer is central, vital and connecting all the ministries of the church in the good works ordained for us.
OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW IN A LIFE OF PRAYER AT WESTMINSTER
The 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month meeting from 6:30-7:45 PM in the conference room. At this time we are going through the book entitled, “A Praying Life”, by Paul Miller and using a discussion guide which accompanies the book. Our time also will include praying for the ministries of Westminster as well sharing with and praying for each other.
Sunday mornings from 10:10-10:25 in the conference room. This is another opportunity to pray for the church, its mission and those involved in the ministry, including asking the Lord to bless the worship service and the preaching of the Word.
